Thanks for you interest in our Markilux products. The shadeplus drop valance is designed to give additional shading as the sun lowers in the sky or as required. It is simply a roller blind mounted in the front profile of the awning. There is a weighted hem bar along the bottom of the fabric cover that helps to keep the fabric straight but the the cover is not secured to the floor in any way. Hi Andrew this one is solar, there is a solar panel on the back of the blind. If you have powered velux windows the blinds are also available to plug directly into your window.

Hi the fabric is Louvolites Perspective screen fabric in Shale Grey, it is 3% openness.

The blinds in the video are made using Louvolites 55mm system with mains powered somfy motors. But it is possible to use louvolites roller systems with many motor types. If you have a Somfy handset or wall switch you have probably got Somfy motors and will soon be able to have voice control using Somfy TaHoma or Connexion with Alexa, (its not quite out yet). But if you have a Louvolite handset you have a Louvolite motor, these are not available with voice control.

I have voice control that the blinds using a broadlink rm pro. You need an android device on permanently. However using the U.S IHS skill from broadlink you can control blinds by mimicking a TV. Not all the functions in the skill have to be developed. In the mean time Im going to see if I can create a bridge between the comfy remote and the Louvolite blinds. We did a 5010 a couple of doors down from this one virtually the same. The videos on here as well, they just had the manual shadeplus though. I must have been thinking about the other one when I wrote the description for this one..... or I was half asleep....
